Making a little change

My day went well. Since I don't have until 7:30 to run in the morning any more because the boys are back to school. I'm finding it hard to get out the door any earlier. And frankly its just too dark at 5:00. I've been following my plan now for 12 weeks. My easy run is always between 10:18 to 10:24 according to my plan. I need to take a min off so I can accomplish more miles in the time I have. I don't think I'm making any drastic changes that will sabotage my marathon training in fact I think this just may help me. I just hope I can keep up the 9-9:20 pace, its time ,I use to do less than that and right now I think I'm enjoying my easy pace little bit too much. The first marathon I do is mid October. I will try this the rest of the week and see how it goes.

Hi Dawn. This was an impressive workout on 1k repeats. I computed your pace for each interval as:

8:34
8:15
7:59
7:53
8:02

Nice and steady for the last 3 1000s. I wonder if you were warmed up enough for the first 2 or just holding back a bit.

I think you should be able to run under 10:00 as your easy pace. Give it a few days and see how you feel. With the weather cooling off fast you should be able to pick it up a bit more.

Anxious to hear how it goes.

Wow Phil you really know your stuff. You're right I got to the track late, so I did'nt get warm up with the group thru the park which is usually about 2.75-3.0 miles. I did less than .69 warm up

I am still here!  Ended 2021 strong.  Felt good and was back in the best shape I've been in a while . Went back to the office June of ...
