I ended the week well with a 10 mile run. Looking back on the month, allot of racing(six 5k's, one 5 miler, one 10k, 1 marathon,) and not enough training. I'm getting back on track though and real marathon training starts in July so for now I'll just have fun. I'm thinking about which plan to follow that is always a challenge for me. tomorrow I'm doing a small home town race, the 2nd year run for education, after today's run I'm looking forward to it. Wow this is a very light weekend for me.

I know this a major weekend for a few of you. Good luck and have a great race!!

It's possible to race yourself fit, the races take over as the seed workouts (well, not the marathons, obviously).

Racing a lot isn't exactly unusual for you.

Hi Dawn

You certainly owe yourself and light weekend. I've seen those weeks you put in and they look a lot like some of mine.

Best of luck and enjoy your weekend.

Stay focused on your objective and you'll be poised for a break-out Marathon this fall.

seems like you enjoy racing. I honestly don't, I'm not competitive but I do enough 5K that you would think I am. Most of them are race directors I am friends with. Will be racing heavily in the next few weeks.
Good luck in your runs.

wow all those races - good job. It made me laugh because this morning, my friend was trying to count up her races for the past 6 months to make sure she got in 6 (you need to average 1/month for our team). You did 6 5Ks in one month along with a bunch of other races!! YOU INSPIRE!

That's right Dawn, go from racing to training by running just one more race. That's some serious racing you have been doing.

dawn -I agree!!! It is difficult to get some quality training in when recovering and resting up for the next race --how did the Run for Education go?? Sice your marathon training starts in JUly, you can incorporate some Norwalk summer series runs ans such into your long runs..good job with all those races.
