Well my training have been interrupted since school and football season began trying to make the best of it. Summer was great as long as I got out the door by 6:00AM I could still get in 2 hours of running and not be late for work. Now its total chaos, I have to run base on my son Kelly schedule . When Elliott was home I would never have to worry about him being ready to go as soon as I get in from my runs. Kelly is another story, I have to be sure to be home at least 10 mins before its time to go, most mornings he is still in bed when I get back and to avoid traffic we need to leave the house by 7:05AM.
I am also having trouble getting out the door before six lately, I think I've gotten too accustom to my free spirit summer schedule. I've manage to get in a few runs during Kelly's football practice, unfortunately they do not have a steady schedule, on day practice starts after school, the next day at 5:oopm. Although I should stop working at 4:30pm that is when my day ends, I'm never out of work that early. If he practice after school, I have to be there to get him home between 5-530. If practice is not until 5:00pm, I have to leave work by 4:30 to get him there on time. I going crazy but handling it the best I way I can.
Suck it up Dawn, this is life!!!
You guys are the best and thank you so much for all your suggestions. They will not go unheard. I have to go pick my son up now. Today practice was at 5:00 rushed home took him over to the field, came back, put dinner in the oven, change and went for a run!! came back put the rest of dinner on stove, did new blog entry. I'll be back!!

YIKES...ur a busy Momma...amazing how u Moms just get stuff done..SUPER MOM!!
You will figure it out, some weeks might just be less miles...
does suck though how u have to get moving so early to beat that dang traffic...I just read an article on that issue from USA Today, peeps getting out the door at 4:30 to beat it...friggin crazy!!
Sounds like you should run around the field while he practices and then get take-out...that's what I would do, anyway.
I seriously don't know how you do it. Seriously. Traffic in the tri-state area is so bad and it just makes everything harder.
Keep on truckin! You'll get used to the new schedule soon!
Keep running when your schedule allows it - but let your body enjoy the rest. Don't stress about missing days - but these moments with your kids only happen once and your body will probably appreciate the break!
I don't have kids yet and have noticed the past few weeks bluring together. I can't imagine if I had your schedule!!
Hang in there & just enjoy the ride!
I was just reflecting on how life interupted my running this week and I realized for better or for worse, I need to find a way to just enjoy it all and go with the flow...um and sneak in the miles whenever I can.
