My week is going well. Pretty hot and sticky out there. Doing my best to stay hydrated, yes I've learn to love my hand held water bottle on my runs that is until I go over 9 miles. Then what do I do after pray that I come upon a sprinkler!!!. I'm really going to have to plan my routes to include backup hydration.

Looking strong this week. I can't get over how much I need to drink. I have to remember to drink while *not* running. That's the ticket.
Stay cool and sprinkled!
Great work. I myself am running at 5am these days or else I'm pretty screwed. If you lived down by me I could show you routes from 3-35 miles requiring NO hand held water, no matter how hot!! It's better to carry water of course...but I'm stubborn and relish the hands-free situation. Luckily I have parks and golf courses (and a 7-11, and gas station) by my routes.
How are you liking the accelerade so far? I know you want to write up a report but good, bad, average?
What kind of bottle do you hold? I'm thinking maybe i need to start carying water, they just don't have water fountains all over like in AZ. I hate carrying things - so curious if there are certain bottles that are easier to carry.
You will have to do like the ultra runners do and carry a bottle in each hand to go further.
When it's this hot, I plan my runs to loop back to the same spot and drop a cache of frozen water bottles to pick up on each loop. Seems to work well.
Thanks everyone I love your ideas. I will try them out!!!
Dawn - thanks for your idea and I might steal some ideas from the others that responded too! :)
The 7-11s around here don't have water fountains - they just built one that opened this week a little ways from the house w/out a fountain. My husband says the people would drink it instead of buying water, but I disagree. bummer :(
ye ye two Bottles Dawn or U can get a belt that holds one,,,u can't even tell its on ya :-) ...
I use a handheld and a belt with one...then loop around at the park to my car that has a cooler when I do my long runs.
and I am SOOO Loving the ICE Bandana around my neck, that's da Bomb :-)
