First Race of 2006/ Resolution 5k

I woke at 7:15 this morning. Felt pretty good and got ready for the 8:30 service at church this morning. The resolution run was at 10:00 and after the race I am taking boys to see the Jets vs. Bills at Giant stadium for a 1:00PM start.

The race went better than expected. I wasn't sure how I would do today after yesterdays out of the blue long run. I did no worst than I did last year in fact I ran the same pace. Last year it was 55 and sunny. This year 33 wet, icy, and cold. I averaged about 8.45 pace which wasn't bad for the conditions. Also this course had some hills that kick but. I was being very cautious. I felt good during and after the race. Here's to a strong year of racing for 2006 .

I took the boys to the Jets vs. Bills today. This was the last game of the season for the Jets. The game was pretty good, we had a blast. What a wonderful way to spend the New Year Day.
