Dawn, thanks for your recent comment on my blog. I know very well that race times that are disappointing to one runner are a fantasy to another - it's all relative, I suppose.

To barely scrape under 40 mins for a 10k was a bad race for me. There are runners who would think of that as a great result, I know, just like there are super-fast guys; I recently read a 10k report from someone who was disappointed with his 35:xx 10k, a number that's totally out of reach for me. A good/bad race all depends on one's personal expectations.
