Well, I hate to say this but I haven't even thought of a race report . Everyone who knows my blog knows I'm lousy at race reports. The day was gorgeous and I enjoyed the 10k loops. I think I've run the 30k since 2002 in the spring and again in the fall. this is the first time the course changed. For now here are some great pictures from Frank 's blog of the 30k Fall Frolic

enjoy, I'll try my best to come up with some kind of race report.

I also did the Darien Road race later that after noon not my first time running the two races on the the same day. All I ever have on my mind is marathons and doing this is a part of getting them done. total for the 40K.

Forty kilometers raced in one day. That is some training day. Nice going and you looked strong in the picture.
Now, eighteen days to your first of two marathons. Can you say taper?

Girl, your awesome. That was enough race day report within itself. Not to mention the 18 days from your next marathon. All can say is "Get it girl!" you are doing well.

two races in one day???? you are my heroe!
Race reports are not important to me. How you feel when you run them, that is important!

It does not surprise me at all that you ran two races in one day. Way to go!

Dawn --hope your son aced the bio test! Good that he has the desire to do well...cannot believe you ran the Darien 10K after the 30K -- you should be in super marathon shape, with a 40K workout...2 races in one day is not easy, as one gets stiff and tired.......wouldn't worry about the race reports.

It sounds like a fun way to get your 40k of training in, that's for sure. Great job! Keep working on those race reports - you will get them figured out.

No time for race reports when you're running all day like that. Taper, yes you might consider it some year. Nice work!
