Today....Before I left the house I pleaded with my son Kelly (14) to run with me if only for a mile. Once again he decline. I will try again tomorrow.

Today...Before I left the house I wasn't sure I would be back before my son Elliott (19) left the house for his summer job(1st job) at Home Depot. So I slightly open his door and told him Elliott you know you can still work out around your schedule and told him the hours of the Y. He said I know mom.

Today...Before I left the house I said to my husband softly as I've said to him many times. "you know if you work out more you wouldn't be so stressed out"......

Today I left the house for my run before the race feeling really good and hoping that someday they will understand why I want so much more for them. Tomorrow I will try again....

Have a great weekend everyone, 9.44 miles at a very easy pace

You are setting a good example. It might be all they are ready for right now, but keep up the good work. Some day it will click for them!!

I'm back from Scotland and just catching up. Did you really run a half and then go to the gym? You crack me up. :D
