What a great day for a marathon! I did the Long Island Marathon today, here is a great video of the race. Last year I did it in 4:18 this year 4:33, today results. There really wasn't more to expect when I hadn't put in the training. I'm OK with my time. I've always done better at this marathon than I do at the More marathon could it be the added marathon I did in between the two aka the New Jersey Shore relay Marathon or could it be the two 5K's I did on Saturday!

Saturday morning I did the Hand in Hand 5k in New Canaan. I took it easy for the most part the race was on a trail through Waveny Park, I haven't run trails in ages so this was an head start on the upcoming Summer Waveny Series. After I completed the race I went over to Darien and did the Law Day 5k!! yes people I am nuts but I had fun and that is what its all about fun. Both 5k's was completed in almost the exact same time 27:30? or 8:36 pace. I believed I placed 1st in my age group in both races.

I bet this is the shortest race report you have seen for not one but three race, what can I say I am lousy at this.

Have a great week.

Well Done, Dawn. Do you actually know how many marathons you have run to date?

Three races in two days? You are a running machine. Great job, 2 1st places, and then run a marathon.

You are having fun!!
And sometimes joy is knowing you don't always have to go for a PR.

The early mornings are lighter now.
Spring is good for running.
Congratulations on the races.

hi Dawn ---congrats on LI marathon -I have to say, it is one of my favorites even though people complain it's a boring course. You have to do a 50K -you would find it soooo easy, as you go as a slower pace tan your marathon pace and walk. Frank and I will find you one. Still time to register for the Greenbelt, LI 50K that is this Saturday!
