WSSC street 13th Annual St. Patrick Day Classic

I did the 13th AnnualWarren Street Social & Athletic Club st. Patrick's Day Classic day race today. Not feeling very race ready these day I did the best I could. A truly weird day, the morning was damp and cold. The Race was scheduled for 11:00, this is one of the latest starting race I run, race started at 11:15. We warned up pretty easily once we finally got going. I must say this is one of the easiest courses I run and I thank God for that today. I remembered doing a 21 miler the day before this race last year. This Year it was a 10.01 miler , I came in a few seconds faster than last year. Not my best not my worst and still looking forward to getting a PR someday. My final time was
34:26 my splits: 8:04, 8:34, 8:44, 8:43,

Good job and nice splits! Glad you had an easy course & way to beat last year's time! Did they offer green beer? They gave out green beer at the 1 & 2 mile marks of the 5K I ran. HAHA!

Nice race, nice times. I have done many races, but only two 4-milers ever. It's an odd distance.

We will have to get Nancy up to speed on you. I've read you long enough to know that "taper" is not in your vocabulary. ;-) Nice job with the 4 miler. You are right, that's a really late start time to me too.

And sending your encouraging thoughts as you deal with spring weather changes and daylight time.

You are great.. And an inspiration!

That's real good for an extra mile over a 5K race, and for a 11:00 start too! What - do they expect everyone to have a late breakfast before the race?
