Haven't posted much about my running

I know I haven't post much about my running lately. This is because I have not been running as much as I would like and its making me feel really lousy. I've had so much distractions lately its a wonder I get out the door. I did 10 miles on Saturday and another 10 on Sunday and they went well. These are the type I runs I need to get back to during the week. I'm going crazy not being able to put in at least 8 miles when I go out. Never the less I still go out because I know this will pass, I just hate having to put my passion on the back burner. I haven't raced in over a month!!! I think I'm going through withdrawal.

Have a great running week!!

It sounds like you are going through withdrawal! I know I'm addicting to running. :) Don't worry, you'll be back on track soon enough!

I so know what you mean, Dawn. Hang in there! The running time will return. I think I'll head out the door for a few right now.

Dawn,

Some downtime is probably what you needed. Rest now is beneficial to running strong later, as well as minimizing injury chances. All the best athletes I know have periods each year when they're not running (or training) much. Besides, in my opinion at least, the best training time is just starting!!

Dawn - Sometimes life has to come first. Sounds like you are still getting some miles in. Back to back 10's !!?? :D If it absolutely isn't possible right now, maybe look at it as some rest time for your body so that you can come back even stronger when life permits. It's all in the perspective and attitude. Hang in there girl.

Maybe you are doing what you can: and that is a lot. In the rhythm of your life, no doubt running will return to take care of YOU!
Peace be with you; hurrah for you.

It's always nice to go out and knock off back-to-back 10 milers. It makes you feel like you're getting somewhere finally! I'm still trying to get my mojo back after the debacle of Chicago a full month ago (I'm up to 8-milers at least).

You are going through withdrawl. I'm sure...and there are a couple of dozen race directors who are frantically searching for your entry wondering how they lost it.

You'll get back at it soon enough. Sometimes life just has to get in the way for a while. It will just make it feel so much better when you get back.

Hey, things will settle down soon and you'll be back in a routine where running is included. I find the winter months are good for that. Even a few miles will make you feel better. Take care!

Have a great week too!

OK - just think of it this way - your body must be thriving with the easing back and will re-pay you greatly when you return to your mileage and all of your races! :)

Relax and instead of getting down - enjoy the rest. :) You'll be stacking up the miles again very soon!
