What Can I say?

Just been busy that's all. Only really had time for comments here and there. I'm afraid with this barely daylight at 6:15AM my morning runs have been shorten, but I make the best of it whenever I'm out there. I should be at the grocery store right now!!

I've been running and getting in some weights, when I finally drag my son to school after my runs, I have about 20 mins to spare so I go to the Y and do weights. Been pretty hard to get in and out without the chit chat. Mind you I leave the gym at 8:00 to 8:05. My work day starts at 8:30, so for the past week I've been late to work by 5mins. Note to self: leave gym at 7:55AM!!!

On the nights my husband is off I try to get in an extra run here and there and some gym time this is maybe just once or twice per week

through all this chaos I have managed to run a few race ( the raceaholic in me) that photo I posted 9/24 was from the 30K Fall Frolic on 9/23 with a time of 2:57:06 on 9/30 I did the Bigelow Tea Community Challenge 5K in a time of 26:03, yesterday 10/6 I did Run for Habitat 5K in a time of 25:27 I was 2nd in my age group, could have easily been first I just did push hard enough because I new I was racing today 10/7 I did the Ridgefield Half Marathon in a time of 2:01:24. Pretty warm out there today!!

Everyone knows I'm not the best race reporter, I felt good after each race and I felt I had more so hopefully all this will help me with my marathon next week. I will try to taper a bit this week. Now I'm off to the grocery store!!!

Happy running to all, have a great week!!!

Hi Dawn,

Thanks for stopping by. I'm a new runner. I just started in July. I hope to be a lifetime runner. Maybe one day I'll be running around as much as you do.

Nice times Dawn. You're getting a lot stronger. Your race times are showing it.

Wow, nice job with the race times. You are really doing well, especially as busy as your life is. Great job!

You're doing great with the race times! Being busy pays off.
Also, thank you in particular for supporting me as I trained for that marathon. It killed and it was slow, but much easier to improve on that time than I thought it would be for the next one.

thanks guys I think the cutting back a bit have been helping and putting in a few miles on the threadmill keeping me consistant with lower than average training pace helping me to re-learn how to turn those legs over faster. lets hope it continues.

Have a great week
