PRE-MARATHON RECOVERY?

My first pre-marathon recovery run:
1m-11:19
2m-11:34
3m-11:19
4m-12:02
5m-12:37
6M-14:34 went into house changed into old shoe
7M-12:44

Do you think this is what they meant :) I bought the upgraded brooks adrenaline 7 two days ago not happy with the change(they change the sole). I will stick with my adrenaline GTS 6 for the marathon. I just knew it was too good to be true. Now I will have to search the net for GTS 6 and order a few pairs.

I had the worst run on Thursday -- I am not brave like you to run the day before a race, so it was my last run before tomorrow.

I had to, get this, stop and sit on a bench. Sit. On. A. Bench. In the middle of a run.

I think you changed your shoes pretty fast there in mile 6.

Good luck tomorrow! If I see you pass me I will shout your name real loud and stick my tongue out so you recognize me!

You're running a marathon where on Sunday? After running 7 today? No Dawn, that's not in the plan is it? Good luck though!

So you went in after six miles, changed shoes, then went out and did another mile? Yep, you definitely have the proper mindset to take on the marathon. Be careful, you are beginning to act like a triathlete (gasp!)

Good luck at the race!

Dawn ... I assume you're running the More on Sunday. Best of luck. Now that the weather is nice, it's time to figure out what you are going to do to get faster.

I do know what you mean about new shoes. ASICS stop making the version I like and my running store only had 2 pair left in my size when I bought my last pair. I should have bought all three pair.

Good Luck Dawn on your Marathon...and yes finding good comfortable shoes can be a pain in the butt :-( I am still not totally happy with my shoes yet...

Exact same experience, Brooks Adrenaline 7, I tried them on twice (two separate trips) but they won't work. I'll be taking the 6's on one more tour...

You scared me for a minute. I thought I had missed your marathon, but then I realized you wrote "Pre-Marathon Recovery." I hope it all went well today. You're a true maniac.

Try e-bay...some sports stores sell their merchandise through ebay at good prices, you just need to know what you want and what size - which it looks like you do!

Better to know what shoes to wear before the race. Can't wait to see how you do!! I would have been laying around getting TLC the day before the race - you are an animal!!

I am still here!  Ended 2021 strong.  Felt good and was back in the best shape I've been in a while . Went back to the office June of ...
