New Nike Jacket and some reflections

Nice run this morning, one hour 34 minutes. My days of easy relaxing running is coming to an end :(. I've had some really enjoyable runs this month, not really focusing on anything. I am hoping this have done some good for me. For the Most part I will begin the year with a plan. That dreaded book that Phil is currently using. I really did enjoy just running by time. I kept my Garmin on but it didn't matter how many miles was completed during the time. I really do want to concentrate on a BQ that is my ultimate goal. But honestly I don't think I can give up my races on the weekends they have become a part of who I am. I guess I will just have to see how bad I want that BQ!! But for now I think I will just play it by ear and listen to my heart, body and soul and take it from there.

Not sure if I told everyone I found another Nike cold weather jacket at TJ Maxx . This one actually says in the label "for temperatures below 55F. This one came in at $39.00 I was only able to hang on until it went down to $29.99.

You'll learn to love Pfitz, especially when the results start to roll in. You won't have to give up your weekend races, the difference is that you'll be using the races as part of your training; especially the multiple marathons that you so much enjoy. You'll be using these as fully support long runs some days and long MP runs at other times.

You're going to do great and you'll be suprised at how quickly the PRs will start to fall on your shorter races.

I have yet to lear to love Pfitz. It's so many miles . . . someday I'll give him a try.

Phil's right, you can have it all! All it takes is some 'careful' re-arranging. Your weekend race can be either a speed session or the long run. Look forward to seeing you at Boston ;-)
