I'm so happy. There is a bike shop next to my office. Things are really expensive in there. I've looked many times but have never bought anything. Biker apparel are really expensive in my book. But they have the prefect tops.. nice pockets in the back for someone like me that like to run marathons :) . Not too many running tops have that those nice pockets. I was lucky to find a Nike top on clearance last year, so every long run, or long race I've run, I grab this same top. Last week during the marathon I had such a difficult time unzipping the zipper in the middle of my back. So I was willing to pay full price today just to have a different top.
I walked into the store today and the first rack I saw had everything I needed on it. And the great thing about this rack everything was 40% off!!!!. Now I know the perfect time to shop in this store. I purchased not one but three of them. They don't have those tiny little pockets with the zipper like the running tops, if you are lucky to find one, but nice big open pockets. I am looking forward to wearing a new top this weekend and also looking forward to the ease of getting my Clif Bloks out of my pocket. My only concern is, how it will feel running in one with items in them . will it be flopping back and forth on my butt. I will test one out in the morning to see how it feels.
I ran on Tuesday, again I felt a little of what I felt on Monday so I rested on Wednesday. This morning I felt great. Nice and rested no hint of stiffness. I will run again on Friday. I will rest on Saturday and I will decide what to do on Sunday.

Dawn ... I'd never thought of wearing my biking tops while running. Those pockets in the back are great. Thanks for the tip.

Oh, those shirts sound fabulous. I ran a race with a guy who kept praising his shirt (a biking shirt) for getting him through the 50K. I suppose I should have worn it and I would have made it through half that distance with more ease.

I've seen others running with those shirts, but the cost usually prevents me from buying them as well. Glad you found some on discount.
