After I ran the 10k last week I did my usual routine, went to the gym and tried to do a relaxing working, such as riding the bike and reading a magazine. I was at it for about 20 minutes bored out of my mind and it was very hot and stuffy in there, so I got it in my head to go out and run again. I was right on route of the mother’s day 10K so I decided to that route I felt wonderful not my usual draggy run after a race but a run with some pep. I was really surprised by this; I did the 10k and came back to the Y and finish with 2 sets of 15 reps on the circuit machines’.
Monday morning I got up and went for a run feeling great again. I am seriously thinking my clouds have lifted, because I was running and feeling great, accept for the scratchiness I felt in my throat I was feeling really good. When I met my friend I said hello in a really high pitched voiced you guessed it the start of a cold!
So I’ve had a really tough week but getting better. I went out day and did a little under 10 miles in about two hours. Some how I believe I have conquered winter running dress because I felt great out there on a very cold and windy day.
