Then I ran a 10k on Sunday, I've been asking God's forgiveness for this one. I should have made it to church after, that was the plan. The race should have started at 8:40 right, even if it took me 1 hr to run, I only live about 10 mins from the race start. I would have been home in plenty of time for a quick shower and out the door. I sat in my car for an almost an hour trying to get out of the parking lot. God knew this would happen that is why temps reached 85F and the race is nothing to speak of. Sorry I caught myself making excuses. I really should not have attempted this one.
Today I learn this: My streak with the MORE MARATHON will continue guess what
so next year I will be sure to register early. Hopefully we won't have one of these hot spells again.
Happy running

It's too bad they had to alter the race like that, but with a field that size with so many first-time marathon runners, it was probably the right thing to do.
Chad, the 5 years I've ran the marathon it never had more than 200women. I do feel bad for the half marathoners though
Dawn, you are amazing. I read your blog in reverse. Girl you got plenty mojo and sauce. With those temp's its mojo HOT sauce and that is the part of adjusting the body is excepting very well. But it sounds like you are doing great!
