I had a quick 3 miler this morning it was all I could get in and I did a quick gym stop after I drop my son off to school. I've decided that I need to get something done in the evenings so I'm bringing out some of the old stuff collecting dust. I have one of the body by Jake equipment not sure which one, when i figure it out I'll mention it again. Also a weight set , I don't have a very large basement and there is not enough head room so these two piece of equipment will have to do for now. I figure whatever I do is better than nothing until my running gets back on track I' ll make the best of it.

I think of doing weights all the time...but never find the time. Not my thing.
Are you doing NY?

Just for the record, Lauren Edwards is not 80 years old. I couldn't believe it when I saw that time. Yes, she is listed as being 80, but she is actually 33. Her age ajusted time, if she were 80, was listed as 1:37. Twenty-seven minutes below the world record. It's hard to understand how the race timers didn't catch that.

glad you are back out running --lifting weights always a good thing. We missed you at the Halloween races..take it easy getting on track. So that woman wasn't 80...BUT my friend Kathy from New canaan ran 3:27 at age 51!! very inspriational.

Even things as simple as situps, pushups and jumping jacks can really make a big difference in your core strength.

Lifting weights? By the next monday, but that monday never arrives for me! I did it only after the surgery because I could not walk or swim.

I got rid of all my old stuff years ago, the nordic track, the rowing machine, the ab bar, the rolly ball, the bike machine, the real bicycle, all yard sale pick ups, never used (except for the real bike, but it was dangerous). One by one they appeared in the dumpster down the block, only to be fished out by someone else, and they each undoubtedly reside in a basement somewhere. Only running ever worked for me. My life is so much simpler now.

I am still here!  Ended 2021 strong.  Felt good and was back in the best shape I've been in a while . Went back to the office June of ...
