I've been busy this week with back to school with the boys, Kelly started this week and Elliott goes back to campus on Monday. We will be packing the cars on Sunday, my husband will go ahead of me with Elliott to be there at exactly 12:00, we will only have 12-4:00 to get him settled in. I will leave immediately after the New Haven 20K Labor Day race so if things go right for me I should arrive at the college only a short time later .

I'm not sure where to begin with my running. My last post I did the Westport 9.3 miler I felt good and race went well. I think I had a good week, I ran every day this week at least three of my runs was 10 milers, so I'm glad about that. I did the Westport Labor Day 10 miler today and I felt pretty good again today. I was hoping to do under 1:30 but it didn't happen. I have run this race since 2003 and I've never ran under 1:30 even when my training was going well, so I'm not sure what I expected today.

As usual I had to rush off after the race because I had a million things to do. In the parking lot I ran into my fellow blogers Emmy and Frank, also with them was Ronnie, Don and Rob . Emmy and Ronnie showed me some new techniques of how to use the bathroom on the run in a race. I'm sure one day it will come in handy!! and Frank took lots of pictures.

You seem to have a lot of things going on at the same time, Dawn. Try not to get stressed out.

Hello Dawn,
Wow, 10 miles three times in one week!!! You are logging them miles.
What do you eat for breakfast???
I saw the clip of Paula peeing on the run. Is that the same technique Frank was talking about?
You are a busy lady. Keep up the good work. Enjoy your run.

Dawn --hope everything went well with the 20K and the school run...
I hope to use that peeing technique soon...yesterday was walking with my neighbor on the trail and told her 'I'll catch up with you, have to pee' and since she is not a runner and a bit more modest, she did look at me strangely, like 'can't you hold it in??"
see you at Norwalk!
