Here I go again...bitch, bitch, bitch, bitch. I don't like daylight savings time because it takes too much away from me (daylight) and I am sick of running in the dark!! God I know I will appreciate it when I can run in the evenings again, but right now... I need AM daylight!! there I got it off my chest, life goes on.

Today I did 7.5 miles it was slow and easy and I had very happy feet.

Daylight Saving Time sucks. I haven't a clue why nearly every state in the US + Canada + Mexico + Europe have bought into the idea. It's just dumb.

Things I hate about it:

1) Listening to talking heads on TV calling it Daylight Savings Time as if it were a bank account. The official name is Dayling Saving Time; always has been.
2) The fact that the US, Mexico and Europe go on and off Daylight Saving Time on different days - it's just a big hassle trying to keep track of everyone's time springing forward this time of the year and falling back in 6 months.
3) Traveling to Seattle or Toronto in the middle of the summer. It's just freakish to have the sun up at 9 PM ... what are these people thinking?

Perhaps you should start a petition drive to put an end to the practice.

I'm so sorry for the people who don't like Daylight Time.

Along about this time of year I start to wake up earlier and earlier. For me having the clock get up an hour earlier too is so welcome.
And I love cooking supper in the daylight.

But I am so sympathetic with you that it doesn't work for you.

I actually miss DST. But then again, I'm not running at the crack of dawn. So I can understand your frustration.

Bravo that you got out for 7 miles. I was all set to leave work at 6 tonight to go to a track workout and a big project walked in the door at 5:45. What you said you were doing, I have been doing plenty of that!

Hi Dawn

I've got to admit that I'm actually OK with it.. I can work all day and still have some daylight when I get home. But I hear you... it is not for everybody.

We didn't observe it when we were in Arizona.. I don't know why the rest of the country doesn't just pick a time and stick to it. Grrr.. I'm with you on this one!!!

Although, I think I like the time the way it is now.. but either way, just stick to it! :)
