Circle of Friends NYmini10K

What a gorgeous day for a run. Central Park was exciting as ever. I had a wonderful time. I can not describe the motivation I get when so many women come together for a wonderful cause. Also knowing that some of the top runners in the world is just a few feet ahead of you gives me a warm and wonderful feeling.

Read all about Lornah Kiplagat winning the 10K mini two years in a row, maintaining her title. Lornah if you only knew how many times I've dug deep and focused on your good vibes. I may never get the times you have but you have help me through many struggles.

My GPS did not register the distance. I'm glad I was able use only the timer and click at each mile marker. This worked out pretty well because it kept me focus on my pace, something I tend to forget about when the GPS is working because it automatically ticks off the miles for me. I did improved from last year by over 5mins . The time I did today may have been the time I did in 2004. With well over 3500 runners it was difficult to pick up much momentum. The weather was good but the wind was going at about 25miles per hour so it was pretty breezy.
